Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform and process X-ray exams using portable digital (DR) and computed (CR) radiography equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
  • Transport portable X-ray equipment to nursing homes and healthcare facilities, providing imaging services directly at the patient's bedside.
  • Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent X-ray images as ordered by physicians, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Perform EKGs when required and transmit results to cardiologists for timely interpretation.
  • Scan and submit exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily, maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain open communication with dispatch and management, coordinate schedules, and keep your vehicle and imaging equipment in excellent working order.

Qualifications

  • Active ARRT certification and California state radiologic technologist licensure (or ability to obtain before start).
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state, maintained in good standing.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions considered with proper documentation).
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs with equipment assistance.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, caring demeanor when interacting with patients and facility staff.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) techniques.
  • Knowledge of X-ray positioning and radiation safety protocols.
  • Ability to perform and interpret EKGs.
  • Experience with portable X-ray equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle a dynamic workload.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills to work effectively with patients and facility teams.
