Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Provide compassionate support to seniors, promoting dignity and independence
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support mealtime assistance and document intake as required
• Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans

Qualifications

• GNA certification or equivalent required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR preferred or able to obtain
• Comfortable working with geriatric populations and those with mobility or cognitive challenges
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans and report observations
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in a long-term care or senior care setting helpful but not always required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care tasks and infection control practices
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and ambulation
• Documentation skills for recording resident care and observations
• Familiarity with resident rights, privacy, and dignity principles
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
