Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care for older adults during night shift hours
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and record resident status and vital signs accurately and promptly
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff and document appropriately
• Support mealtime needs and ensure residents' comfort during overnight hours
• Collaborate with team members to implement care plans and promote dignity

Qualifications

• GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) class/certification (as listed in job class)
• Ability to work night shifts and remain alert and engaged throughout the shift
• Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding, health screenings, and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric care and principles of resident dignity
• Skilled at assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Familiarity with infection control and safe lifting/transfer techniques
• Accurate documentation and clear handoff communication
• Teamwork and the ability to follow care plans and instruction from licensed staff
• Calm, observant, and able to respond effectively to overnight resident needs
