Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varied days), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Monitor and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
Provide compassionate, person-centered care that supports comfort and independence
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Accurately document care activities and report changes to the nursing team
Collaborate with staff to ensure timely, coordinated care and a great resident experience

Qualifications

Active GNA certification (required)
Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
Reliable transportation to Bowie, MD and the ability to work per-diem shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Geriatric care principles and compassionate resident-centered approach
Assistance with ADLs and basic patient hygiene
Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
Infection control and safe handling procedures
Clear communication and teamwork with nursing staff and care teams
Accurate documentation and time management
