Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and preventive care for patients
- Assess oral health conditions and document findings
- Take and develop dental x-rays with precision
- Apply fluoride varnish and sealants to protect teeth
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and treatment plans
- Collaborate with the dentist and dental team to ensure a great patient experience
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- Active and valid Dental Hygienist license in Wisconsin
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Proven experience in clinical dental hygiene
- Strong communication skills and a caring chairside manner
- Ability to adapt quickly to new practice environments
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of dental anatomy and periodontal disease
- Proficiency with dental radiography and imaging equipment
- Expertise in infection control and OSHA standards
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
