Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and chart patient histories
• Deliver exceptional preventive dental care including cleanings and scaling
• Take and review digital radiographs for diagnostic accuracy
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care practices
• Apply fluoride and sealants to protect against decay
• Maintain rigorous infection control and sterilize instruments

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Commitment to compassionate, quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in patient assessment and periodontal charting
• Skilled in taking high-quality digital radiographs
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
