Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care through comprehensive dental hygiene services
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures and document patient care
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean treatment area
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent patient communication and education abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental hygiene procedures and equipment
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Comfortable using dental software for record keeping
- Empathetic and patient-focused approach
