Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (night shift), with every other weekend as needed, one call weekend per month from 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM, and holiday availability required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans with precision and care
  • Position patients correctly and ensure their safety throughout imaging procedures
  • Administer contrast media under the direction of a radiologist and monitor for reactions
  • Capture clear diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
  • Maintain and calibrate CT equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Accurately document patient history, imaging protocols, and scan results
  • Follow strict radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless patient care
  • Remain calm and adaptable during critical staffing needs and emergency situations

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Licensed and certified as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Michigan (or ability to obtain)
  • Previous experience as a CT Technologist preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be open to on-call weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in CT imaging techniques, anatomy, and positioning
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
  • Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot CT equipment
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Team player with a flexible, positive attitude
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
