Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, procedures, and adjustments with precision and care
• Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and clear communication
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accurate and high-quality images
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care to promote lasting results
• Maintain meticulous patient records and treatment notes in the dental software system
• Manage appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and patient flow to keep the practice running smoothly

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification to ensure patient safety
• Prior experience in orthodontic assisting is preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients and team members
• Attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and orthodontic techniques
• Proficiency with dental software such as Denticon for charting and scheduling
• X-ray certification and adherence to safety protocols
• Expertise in sterilization and infection control practices
• Compassionate patient care and customer service skills
