Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist dental hygienists in delivering exceptional patient care, from preparing treatment rooms to handing instruments and materials
- Update and maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality to support smooth clinical workflows
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment, keeping a clean and safe environment for every patient
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed, helping providers diagnose conditions with confidence
- Provide friendly, reassuring support to patients before, during, and after procedures to help them feel at ease
- Manage patient flow and communicate effectively with the dental team to optimize appointment efficiency
Qualifications
- We welcome Certified Dental Assistants and those with equivalent hands-on experience
- Maryland state certification or registration as required for dental assistants
- Current CPR/BLS certification is strongly preferred
- Radiology or x-ray certification is a nice plus
- A background check and compliance with health screening requirements will be required
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
- Comfort using dental software for patient records and scheduling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
