Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional preventive dental care, including cleanings and periodontal therapy
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care to promote long-term dental health
- Take and process dental x-rays with precision and care
- Document patient treatments and update medical histories accurately
- Partner with the dentist during procedures to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and welcoming clinical environment
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact privilege where applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Strong communication skills and a passion for patient education
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Knowledge of infection control standards and OSHA guidelines
- Experience with dental charting software and digital radiography
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and staff
- Attention to detail in documentation and patient care
