Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care, including cleanings and periodontal therapy
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care to promote long-term dental health
• Take and process dental x-rays with precision and care
• Document patient treatments and update medical histories accurately
• Partner with the dentist during procedures to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact privilege where applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong communication skills and a passion for patient education
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Knowledge of infection control standards and OSHA guidelines
• Experience with dental charting software and digital radiography
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and staff
• Attention to detail in documentation and patient care
