Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical suites for a variety of procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to keep procedures running smoothly and efficiently
• Coordinate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care
• Handle surgical specimens correctly, ensuring proper labeling and transport
• Maintain and restock operating room inventory to support daily operations

Qualifications

• Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
• Minimum of 6 months current hospital CST experience
• Current BLS, DORA, and NBSTA certifications must be active
• Prior Meditech experience is preferred
• Travel experience in large facilities is a bonus
• Robotics experience will make you stand out
• Flexibility to handle call requirements and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and sterile processing
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR system
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused during high-pressure surgical situations
• Knowledge of neuro and transplant surgical procedures is a plus
