Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift; specific days not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate hands-on care assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
  • Support resident mobility and safety, using proper lifting and transfer techniques
  • Document care clearly and promptly to ensure continuity and quality
  • Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to meet resident needs
  • Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
  • Basic proficiency in charting and documentation
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
  • Skill in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
  • Ability to observe, record, and communicate changes in resident condition
  • Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills to prioritize resident needs during shift
