Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert respiratory care to patients from neonates to geriatrics across all inpatient areas
• Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and spirometry with precision and compassion
• Manage advanced equipment like Drager vents, V60 BiPAPs, and Airvo2 high flow systems
• Collaborate seamlessly with providers, nursing, and leads to optimize patient outcomes
• Float throughout the hospital to support diverse levels of care every day
• Adapt quickly to varying patient needs in this Level 1 trauma center

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience, with recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma background
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• RRT or CRT credential via NBRC
• Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius rule
• No current full-time, part-time, or PRN ties to CommonSpirit facilities

Education

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in EKGs, bedside bronchs, and spirometry
• Familiarity with vents including Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion
• Expertise with BiPAP models like Vision, V60, V30, and Respironics S/T
• Strong time management, flexibility, adaptability, communication, and teamwork
• NRP and PALS preferred for pediatric and neonatal care
• EPIC charting system experience a plus
