Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts, 0630-1830 days or 1830-0630 nights, every other weekend, 2 out of 3 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional care to critically ill adults and peds patients in a fast-paced 34-bed Med Surg ICU
  • Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, sedations, and other drips with confidence
  • Monitor and interpret Draeger telemetry strips independently
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, attendings, residents, and a supportive team on complex cases like sepsis, ARDS, and neuro interventions
  • Float to inpatient units as needed to make a broader impact
  • Champion high-quality care in a tertiary hospital environment

Qualifications

  • Active RN license with 2 years recent ICU experience
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Valid driver's license for 50-mile radius rule compliance
  • Ready for a pass/fail open-book skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

  • Expertise in managing respiratory failure, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, and surgical patients
  • Proficiency with CVPs, A-lines, Swan-Ganz, ICP monitoring, and advanced equipment
  • Strong critical thinking, positive attitude, and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to read tele strips and troubleshoot vents from nasal cannula to full support
