Shift Type: Variable schedule covering pharmacy hours: Monday–Saturday, 9:30 AM - 8:30 PM; Sunday, 2:30 PM - 7:30 PM (day shifts). Anticipated 40 hours/week with variable schedule to cover retail operating hours. Holiday coverage required: Thanksgiving 11/26/2025 - 11/30/2025, Christmas 12/23/2025 - 12/28/2025, New Years 12/31/2025 - 01/02/2026. Urgent traveler start ASAP and additional traveler start 01/01/2026.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day pharmacy operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service
• Accurately interpret and dispense prescriptions, verifying completeness and authenticity
• Manage inventory: order supplies, conduct audits, minimize waste, and optimize stock levels
• Conduct medication reviews and drug-drug interaction checks to protect patient safety
• Provide personalized patient consultations and daily medication counseling
• Administer immunizations under established protocols and document appropriately
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to optimize medication therapy management
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and students to support a high-performing team
• Represent the pharmacy in community outreach and educational events

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
• Current, full, and unrestricted Utah Pharmacist License (RPH)
• Authorized to dispense controlled substances in Utah
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, pharmacy software)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to cover required holiday shifts and work variable retail hours
• Preferred: 3+ years retail pharmacy experience, APhA Immunization Certification, prior pharmacy management experience

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy (degree required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication dispensing best practices
• Experience with patient counseling, medication therapy management, and confidentiality rules
• Familiarity with inventory management and 340B program fundamentals
• Ability to use pharmacy software and standard office tools (Word, Excel)
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, and teamwork skills
• Immunization administration and documentation skills
