Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients on a combined psych/med-surg unit
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate care
- Support patients with mental health needs while managing medical conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Jersey (or compact state)
- BLS certification required
- DCI/BVP certification (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of recent psych or med-surg experience preferred
- Strong assessment and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Psychiatric nursing and crisis intervention techniques
- Medical-surgical nursing skills including wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent teamwork and patient advocacy
