Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
• Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized, accounted for, and functioning
• Collaborate with nurses, anesthesia providers, and other team members to deliver safe patient care
• Document surgical procedures accurately and assist with patient positioning and preparation

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous experience in an operating room setting is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in high-pressure situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to different surgical specialties and cases
