Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly before each case
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
• Document procedures and patient information accurately

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) strongly preferred
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
• Current BLS (or ACLS) certification
• Previous experience as a surgical technologist is a plus, but new grads welcome to apply
• Ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and operating room protocols
• Solid understanding of human anatomy and surgical procedures
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and act with precision
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable using electronic health records and surgical documentation systems
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure
