Location: Sacramento, California

End Date: 09-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour day shifts with varied hours (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM starts), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for complex cardiovascular procedures
Assist surgeons during CABG, valve replacements, and other heart surgeries
Maintain sterile technique and anticipate surgeon needs in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with the CVOR team to ensure smooth case flow
Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Active BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
Strong confidence in cardiovascular operating room skills
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner EMR
Skilled in CVOR procedures and sterile technique
Comfortable with EKG interpretation
NIHSS certification preferred
Adaptable to fast-paced, high-volume surgical settings
