Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting
• Develop individualized therapy plans that align with each resident’s recovery goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Document progress notes and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Speech‑Language Pathologist
• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or related field
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Evaluation and treatment of dysphagia and dysarthria
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid documentation requirements
• Ability to create evidence‑based therapy programs
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities
