Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function using evidence-based evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear, meaningful goals for each patient
• Implement therapeutic interventions and adapt techniques to meet changing patient needs
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Document progress, outcomes and plans accurately and timely in the medical record
• Provide education and training to patients, families and caregivers to support carryover
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current California license or eligibility to obtain SLP licensure in California
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• CCC-SLP (ASHA) preferred or actively pursuing certification
• Strong experience with adult post-acute/rehabilitation populations preferred
• Competent clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
• Valid CPR certification and willingness to complete facility onboarding/background checks

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and intervention for dysphagia, cognitive-communication and expressive/receptive language disorders
• Skilled in treatment planning, outcome measurement and progress documentation
• Excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt therapy to complex medical and rehabilitation needs
• Familiarity with infection control, safety protocols and patient-centered care practices
