Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to progressive care unit (PCU) patients
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer non-vesicant chemotherapy safely after completing required ONS training
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Michigan or compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course preferred
• OCN certification is a plus
• Oncology experience strongly preferred
• Completion of Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of chemotherapy administration safety, including vesicant and non-vesicant agents
• Comfort with telemetry and PCU patient monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, supportive environment
