Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to progressive care patients
• Monitor and assess patients, respond to changes in condition, and escalate as needed
• Administer medications, including non-vesicant chemotherapy after completing unit-based training
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan or compact state required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in PCU or oncology nursing preferred
• Comfortable with chemotherapy and biotherapy administration (training available)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
• Familiarity with telemetry and progressive care monitoring
• Knowledge of oncology medications and chemotherapy safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
