Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate telemetry nursing care to Med/Surg patients during overnight hours
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to arrhythmias and alarms
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility protocols
• Document patient care and communication clearly and timely in the patient chart
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Participate in competency testing and unit-based quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and ability to pass License/Certificate Verification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required per position checklist
• Clinical experience and comfort working on Med/Surg Telemetry units (telemetry monitoring and post-op/acute care)
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to meet onboarding health requirements (fit test, drug screen, immunizations, 2-step PPD or IGRA, varicella, physical/health statement)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring skills and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Solid patient assessment and acute clinical decision-making overnight
• Proficient medication administration and IV care
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
• Adherence to infection prevention practices and immunization compliance
• Comfort with competency testing and skills validation processes
