Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric medical/surgical patients
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for children with a variety of conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state
• Experience in pediatric nursing or med/surg preferred
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, compassionate environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
• Skilled in IV insertion and medication administration for pediatric patients
• Understanding of family-centered care principles
• Proficient in electronic health record documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
