Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced LDRP setting
- Manage all stages of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, intervene as needed
- Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure safe outcomes
- Float to postpartum assignments when needed - versatility is key!
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
- Ability to handle high-acuity situations with confidence and compassion
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
- Skilled in postpartum assessment and newborn resuscitation
- Strong communication and patient education abilities
- Comfortable using electronic medical records
