Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 09-02-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts, per diem as needed; exact start and end times vary based on facility needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients
- Assess patient respiratory status and develop individualized care plans
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator support
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with clinical standards
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current BLS certification (ACLS or PALS preferred)
- NBRC credential (CRT or RRT)
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
- Oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, and mechanical ventilators
- Patient assessment and monitoring techniques
- Accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration in fast-paced settings
