Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and develop personalized care plans
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy
• Perform diagnostic tests such as blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to adjust treatment plans for optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on breathing techniques and home respiratory care
• Respond to emergency calls and provide airway management support
• Document patient responses and maintain accurate respiratory care records

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT) required
• NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus
• Previous experience in pediatric or acute care respiratory therapy is a bonus
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and effective in emergency situations
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
