Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and response to treatment
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
• Assist with airway management and mechanical ventilation support
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatment plans
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support code situations

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Airway management and ventilator support skills
• Pediatric patient assessment and monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving in emergency situations
• Comfort with electronic health records and documentation
