Respiratory Therapist - NOC
Location: Newport, OR
Start Date: 08-06-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: NOC shift, 6:15 PM - 6:45 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based respiratory care to patients of all ages
- Assess, treat, and monitor critical and non-critical patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust respiratory care plans
- Administer respiratory therapies, airway management, and diagnostic procedures
- Document patient responses and outcomes accurately in PointClick EMR
- Respond quickly and effectively to respiratory emergencies
Qualifications
- Current RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Active Oregon Respiratory Care License
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
- Two years of clinical respiratory care experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Skilled in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance techniques
- Proficient with PointClick EMR
- Critical thinking and quick decision-making in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
