Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous telemetry monitoring and timely interventions for progressive care patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and tailor care plans to individual needs
• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care for mixed med-surg and step-down patients
• Document accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to emergencies following BLS and ACLS protocols with confidence
• Support unit flow, quick turnover, and short-stay patient needs to keep the unit running smoothly
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing and patient care priorities

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (state licensure required; compact licensure accepted where applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, progressive care or telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Telemetry competency and progressive care experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Cerner EMR is a plus
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient assessment skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
• Progressive care/step-down nursing practices
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, short-stay environment
• Teamwork and flexibility to float when unit needs change
