Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including telemetry and vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy and biotherapy for oncology patients (after required training)
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course completion preferred or willingness to complete
• OCN certification is a plus
• Previous experience in progressive care or oncology preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Progressive Care Unit nursing practices and standards
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Understanding of chemotherapy administration and safety protocols
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
