Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, as-needed shifts (6 hours per shift, no break) in Pre-Op Pediatrics
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate pre-operative care to pediatric patients and their families
- Assess patients' health status, review medical histories, and ensure readiness for surgery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to support safe and smooth procedures
- Educate children and caregivers about what to expect before surgery, easing anxiety
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and uphold strict safety protocols
- Create a calm, reassuring environment that helps pediatric patients feel comfortable
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- Current BLS certification required
- PALS certification is highly desirable
- Experience in pre-operative, perioperative, or pediatric nursing is preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- A genuine passion for working with children and families
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pre-operative nursing assessments and procedures
- Understanding of pediatric development and family-centered care
- Skilled in patient observation, vital signs monitoring, and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
