Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient status, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create and adjust care plans
• Educate and support families during challenging times
• Document patient care accurately and maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification preferred
• PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm in high-pressure situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric critical care nursing knowledge
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and family support skills
• Comfort with electronic health records and charting
