Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized equipment
- Support and educate families during complex medical journeys
- Document patient progress accurately and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Advocate for patients' needs and coordinate with multidisciplinary specialists
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Massachusetts or compact state
- BLS and PALS certification required
- Previous PICU or pediatric critical care experience strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compassionate environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with pediatric medication dosing and IV therapy
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfortable with electronic health records and monitoring technology
- Adaptable and composed in emergencies
