Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetic conditions
• Titrate critical drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications with precision and confidence
• Monitor continuous EEG and step-down level patients in a fast-paced PCU environment
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to keep patient care seamless
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the wider hospital team
• Document accurately in EPIC and adapt quickly using critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Active RN license and a valid driver's license (for the 50-mile radius rule)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or stepdown nursing experience
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Comfort with titration drips and EPIC charting
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Willingness to follow the fingernail policy (no artificial nails)
