Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, with a special focus on oncology patients
• Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and respond quickly to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Support patients and families through education on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care strategies
• Administer non-vesicant chemotherapy and biotherapy after completing required ONS training and unit orientation, when applicable
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to strict safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course completion preferred
• Oncology nursing experience highly preferred
• OCN certification is a plus
• Valid RN license and successful license/certificate verification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of PCU nursing and oncology patient care
• Skill in chemotherapy/biotherapy administration (if ONS certified)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization abilities
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, specialized unit
