Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to cardiac step-down and post-operative open-heart patients
• Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac drips with precision and confidence
• Provide recovery support for patients following heart catheterization procedures
• Partner with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in Epic EMR
• Remain flexible to float to other units and support ventilator patients when the need arises

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (must be current)
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac step-down experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proven experience with open-heart recovery, cardiac drips, and telemetry
• Epic EMR proficiency
• Comfort providing care to ventilated patients, if needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Medication administration including cardiac drips
• Post-operative open-heart patient care
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking
• Epic electronic medical record skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork
