Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Administer non-vesicant chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with unit protocols
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course preferred - will train
- Oncology experience highly valued
- OCN certification is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in chemotherapy administration and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
