Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs, assess recovery status, and manage pain
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth recovery and discharge
• Educate and support families during the post-operative process
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
• Document care accurately and maintain patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State
• Current BLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required for pediatric care
• Experience in PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of post-anesthesia care standards and protocols
• Proficiency in pain management and medication administration
• Excellent communication and family education skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
