Location: Spokane, Washington
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem - Flexible 6-hour shifts; start times vary based on department needs
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, specialized post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
- Monitor vital signs and assess patients as they recover from anesthesia
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth, safe recovery
- Educate families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond quickly and calmly to any changes in patient condition
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Washington State or a compact state
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Previous experience in PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing preferred
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts and adapt to changing needs
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of pediatric post-anesthesia care protocols
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and team members
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, family-centered approach to care
