Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Administer medications and manage post-operative pain
• Monitor vital signs and quickly detect changes in patient condition
• Educate families on post-procedure care and expectations
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and the nursing team to ensure safe recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Prior PACU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Comfortable caring for pediatric patients in the post-anesthesia setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment and monitoring skills
• Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols
• Medication administration and pain management for children
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient status
