Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients and their families
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses during surgery, responding quickly to any changes
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal outcomes
• Document intraoperative care accurately and maintain compliance with safety standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or a compact state
• BLS certification required; PALS and ACLS preferred
• Experience in perioperative nursing, especially with pediatric patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile technique
• Understanding of pediatric anesthesia and surgical care
• Skill in patient assessment and monitoring during procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records and surgical documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills to support anxious children and their families
