Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to neonatal patients using NRP and BLS protocols
• Monitor infants closely, assess changes in condition, and escalate concerns to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and families to develop individualized care plans
• Perform and document specialty competency tasks as required (Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist)
• Maintain a safe environment by completing required health screenings and compliance checks

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (Ohio) required
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist (or willingness to complete)
• Successful completion of Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, color vision test, fit test, and required health screenings/vaccinations
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Active RN license in Ohio
• BSN preferred (or equivalent nursing diploma/degree with experience)

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization (NRP principles)
• Infant assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making in acute situations
• Infection control practices and unit-specific safety procedures
