Location: Santa Maria, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, first to float
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional critical care to ICU patients including neuro trauma and cardiac surgical cases
- Manage advanced drips like Norepinephrine and vasopressin while interpreting tele strips
- Ventilate patients using Puritan Bennette 840 systems in a 1:1-2 ratio environment
- Collaborate with 24/7 intensivist, RT, and pharmacy teams for optimal outcomes
- Float to AG as needed to support ICU-level care
- Thrive in a fast-paced 20-bed unit handling open heart, CRRT, and more
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with travel experience preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- COVID vaccine required
Education
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Expertise in cardiac monitoring and tele strip interpretation
- Experience with vents, drips, and critical care equipment
- Strong assessment skills for complex cases like aortic dissection and thoracotomies
