Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create effective care plans
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately
• Float between units to support staffing needs and ensure quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Iowa or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Acute care nursing skills for med/surg patients
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records
• Adaptability to adjust to different units and patient populations
