Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on a med/surg unit
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely following established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain a calm, comforting environment for children and their families
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous pediatric med/surg or inpatient pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to different patient assignments
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
