Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, compassionate nursing care to adult, pediatric, and orthopedic patients in a 24-bed critical access hospital
• Monitor telemetry and assess patients with cardiac, medical-surgical, and post-operative needs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with a close-knit healthcare team to deliver personalized care in a rural setting
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR (Point Click)
• Respond to emergencies and rapidly changing conditions with confidence and clinical skill

Qualifications

• Active and current RN license in Wisconsin or compact state - must be currently active
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 5 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry, orthopedics, cardiology, and pediatric patients preferred
• Proficiency with Point Click EMR; Epic experience is a plus
• Willingness to commit to every weekend night shifts (Friday-Sunday, 7p-7a)

• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, critical access hospital
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a close-knit environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize care for diverse patient populations
• Adaptable, resourceful, and calm under pressure
• Keen attention to detail for accurate documentation and medication administration
