Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record while upholding patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Prior experience in med-surg or telemetry nursing is preferred, but new graduates with a strong clinical foundation are encouraged to apply
• Ability to provide care in a fast-paced environment with excellent assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to interpret basic EKG rhythms and identify abnormalities
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and patient education
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
